Community Guidelines

HustleHub is a marketplace built on trust between neighbors. These are the expectations we hold everyone to, whether you are hiring or earning.
Neighbors helping neighbors
HustleHub works because people treat each other like neighbors. Assume good intent, be clear about what you need, and be fair about what you can deliver. These guidelines apply to every hustle, message, profile, and business listing.
Be respectful
- No harassment, threats, hate speech, or discrimination based on race, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, or national origin.
- Keep messages about the work. Do not send unwanted personal, romantic, or repeated messages.
- Respect someone's home, belongings, and privacy while you are working.
- If someone asks you to stop contacting them, stop. Blocking and reporting are always available.
Be honest
- Post only real hustles at real locations, with accurate scope, timing, and budget.
- Apply only for work you can actually do and intend to complete.
- Use your own photos of your own work. Do not pass off someone else's photos, reviews, or credentials.
- Never ask for or offer fake reviews, and never pressure someone into a review.
- Do not impersonate another person, business, or HustleHub staff.
Keep payments on HustleHub
Pay and get paid through Base44 Payments. Asking for cash, gift cards, bank transfers, or payment through another app takes the job off-platform: there is no payment record, which means no dispute protection, no refund path, and no way for us to help if something goes wrong. It also violates our Terms of Service.
Never pay a deposit or fee to be considered for a hustle. Legitimate work on HustleHub never requires an upfront payment to the other person.
Stay safe
- Keep conversations in HustleHub. Your exact address and contact details stay private until a hustle is accepted.
- Meet in a safe, visible place for first-time work, and tell someone where you will be.
- Do not take on work that requires a license, permit, or insurance you do not have.
- Decline anything that feels unsafe or illegal, and report it instead of handling it yourself.
- In an emergency, call 911 first, then let us know.
Not allowed on HustleHub
- Anything illegal, or work that requires a professional license the worker does not hold.
- Weapons, drugs, stolen goods, adult content, gambling, or financial and crypto scheme promotion.
- Sexual, violent, or graphic content in hustles, messages, profiles, or photos.
- Spam, mass messaging, scraping, fake accounts, or attempts to move users to another platform.
- Recruiting for multi-level marketing, commission-only sales, or unpaid "opportunities".
- Circumventing a suspension, or helping someone else do so.
Business listings
- List only a business you own or are authorized to represent.
- Describe your services accurately and keep your service area and categories current.
- Use your own logo and photos, and keep your listing in the category or categories that actually fit.
- Do not post a listing as a way to advertise work that a customer has to pay to join.
Pricing and availability
Set budgets that reflect the work, and propose prices that reflect what you will actually charge. If something changes, talk about it before the work happens rather than after. Cancel as early as you can so the other person can make other plans.
What happens when something is reported
Every report is reviewed by our team. Depending on what we find, we may remove content, warn an account, restrict features, suspend an account, cancel a hustle, or adjust a payment. We may also contact the people involved for more information.
Reports are confidential: we do not tell the person you reported who reported them, though they may see their own content removed or their account restricted.
If you are unsure whether something belongs on HustleHub, ask before you post it. If you saw something that worries you, report it.
